Short Synopsis: Meet ROGER, an aging once-famous soap opera acting coach. Now, as soaps disappear from the television landscape, so has Roger dealt with the decline of his clients. JAKE, a young up-and-comer from Iowa has dreamed since early childhood that one day he will be a soap opera star. No decline in genre popularity will stop Jake, and he arrives as green as a midwestern cucumber to follow his dream. A May-December romance buds, and Roger surprises all his friends when he spontaneously proposes to his young protege. What seems a delightful meant-to-be marriage turns south when Roger sees the dark underbelly of this seemingly naive and shy young man.
